Compared to general-purpose robots, the EPH-series feature higher
performance drive systems on the S, L and U axes (axes 1, 2, 3) for
high duty cycle applications. Shelf-mounted versions are available and
provide improved clearance for die changes. These robots feature a high
vibration rating of 9.8 m/s2 (1.0G), which is needed for the press room
environment. All EPH-series robots are controlled by the
high-performance NX100 controller. The NX100 offers multiple axes
control capability to maximize flexibility while minimizing cost of
integration and eliminating risk of robot collisions. Dual-channel
safety features include enhanced E-stop functionality, integrated speed
monitoring, manual brake release switches, and compliance with both
ANSI/RIA R1506-1999 and Canadian safety standards.
