Next Generation Leaders in Manufacturing

The CM/CFW NextGen Leaders supplement is designed to celebrate the best and brightest up-and-comers in Canada’s metalworking and fabricating industries. Through this recognition we want to celebrate the innovative spirit among young leaders and future leaders in our industry.

This recognition serves several purposes: to show our appreciation to these young talents and indicate to them that they made the right decision to put their talent and know-how at the service of our industry; and to demonstrate to the manufacturers and the world at large that Canada’s manufacturing industry is evolving and changing with the times, and that our schools are creating the talent that will help us continue to grow our talents and change the manufacturing landscape. We are looking for nominees who are changing the nature of manufacturing in their shop, either through their leadership as an owner or as a talent on the shop floor.

We are looking for students who stand out among their peers as clear leaders. We are looking for individuals among shops, suppliers, and associations who are promoting the trades and encouraging greater involvement in the trades by their peers. We are looking for educators who are bringing new ways of thinking to trades education.
