Messer Canada helmet draw winner announced

In February, CCM co-founder Steve Abbott won a hand-painted helmet from Messer Canada.
“I was looking for a new helmet to replace one of the two that I use regularly and saw this draw on Messer’s website and thought, ‘Why not?’” said Abbott.
The ClearView OHE550D digital helmet was hand painted by an artist and presented to Abbott in late-February at the Messer Canada retail store in Brampton, Ont.
"The ClearVIEW 550D is one of our highest selling helmets with a great combination of the latest ADF, large viewing area and a modern look," said Khyatesh Chavan, Hardgoods Product Manager, Messer Canada Inc. "The dual strap headgear and easy adjustment is intended for higher comfort and less fatigue."
“I used the helmet on-site the other day,” said Abbott in early March. “It has a very large viewing area, probably one of the biggest I've come across. Excellent natural colour, so it's very easy to see the heat area of the puddle. Adjustment of the shades is very easy. I've just got to adjust the headband for a slightly better fit, and of course I'm always going to be worried about damaging that paint job.”
“As part of our ongoing commitment to engage and connect with the welding community, we believe in showcasing the quality and innovation behind our Messer private brand products,” said Marc Baddour, marketing communication project manager at Messer Canada. “The welding helmet contest draw serves as a dynamic marketing initiative to raise awareness about our brand, allowing us to interact with our audience in a unique way. By providing an opportunity for participants to experience the excellence of Messer products firsthand, we aim to not only foster a sense of community but also highlight the superior features of our welding helmets. Ultimately, our goal is to reinforce Messer's position as a trusted and innovative choice in the welding gas industry while creating excitement and interest among both current and potential customers.”
