Hobart has announced the availability of its new FabCO® 85HXP gas-shielded, flux-cored wire. The wire offers increased deposition rates and travel speeds for welding materials up to 8 in. thick. It is suitable for flat and horizontal welding of earth-moving equipment, nonalloyed and fine-grain steels, heavy fabrication applications, and the manufacture of equipment for use in severe-service conditions.
The wire features a basic slag system that provides increased toughness and excellent low-temperature impact strength, says the company.
