Lincoln Electric Canada announces new president

In its 100th year of operations, Lincoln Electric Canada has named a new president, Mr. Adel Mir.

Mir joined Lincoln Electric Canada in 2007, and was responsible for all of the company’s manufacturing operations in Canada before his promotion.

Mir graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is certified as a Black Belt in Six Sigma. He started his career as an automotive engineer working on welding processes and tooling design. Adel has spent all of his life and career in Canada.

He replaces Mike Whitehead, who will return to Lincoln Electric’s global headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, to take the position of senior vice president, strategy and business development.
