Rhino adds sales talent for push into fibre market

Wes Reeves recently joined Burlington, Ont.-based Rhino Cutting Systems as sales manager for the company’s new laser cutting systems line. Reeves has 10 years of experience in industrial laser sales.

Rhino builds its fibre laser and plasma cutting systems at its facility in Burlington. It is offering lasers with resonators with anywhere between 1 and 6 kW of power. The company has gone to market with three models, the introductory SPARK model, the RFL3015, and RFL3520.

“We hope that the fact that we have a made-in-Canada product, and a local team here who can respond to customer needs, will draw customers to our fibre lasers,” said Reeves. “We give clients the opportunity to build a system with the components that will fit the needs of their work. We also use a composite table for the construction of our lasers, which offers greater stability than a welded frame construction, decreasing vibration concerns that can affect the speed and accuracy of fibre lasers systems.”
